Privacy policy

How fiftyminds collects, uses and protects your personal information. Last updated November 2026.

Who we are

fiftyminds Ltd (“fiftyminds”, “we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal information collected through this website. Our address is 39 Marsh Green Road West, Marsh Barton, Exeter EX2 8PN.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at enquiries@fiftyminds.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Contact form - your name, work email, company, role, what you’re interested in and any message you include.
  • AI Readiness Assessment - your name, work email, company and role, and your answers to questions about your organisation, such as its size, sector, current use of technology and AI, and your priorities. We also receive your results, including your scores.
  • AI Management Standard quick guide - your name, company and work email, when you download the guide.
  • The Fifty Second Brief newsletter - your name, company and work email, when you sign up.
  • Emails you send us - your contact details and the content of your message.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the website secure and running.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange any conversation you ask for.
  • To prepare your AI Readiness Report, based on your quiz answers, which you can download straight away.
  • To give you the AI Management Standard quick guide you asked for.
  • To send you The Fifty Second Brief, if you’ve signed up. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe.
  • To get in touch about your report or the guide, for example to offer a conversation about your results. You can ask us not to contact you at any time.
  • To understand, in anonymised and aggregated form, how organisations are adopting AI - no individual organisation is identified.
  • To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
  • To keep this website secure and working properly.

We only send you our newsletter if you sign up for it, and we never sell your information.

The AI Readiness Assessment

The quiz asks about your organisation so we can tailor your report. Most answers describe your business rather than you personally, but we treat everything you submit as confidential.

  • Please don’t include personal information about colleagues, clients or patients in your answers.
  • We use your answers to prepare your report. We also receive a copy of your answers and results, so we may get in touch to talk them through. Just let us know if you’d rather we didn’t.
  • Your report is yours to keep, with no obligation to work with us.
  • We don’t share your answers with anyone outside fiftyminds, other than the providers who help us run the quiz and our systems.

Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests - responding to business enquiries and running our website.
  • Steps before a contract - where you ask us about working together.
  • Consent - for anything optional, such as marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the trusted providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and our email and IT providers. They may only use it on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.

International transfers

Some of our providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and assessment information for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client - in which case it’s kept in line with our client records. We then delete it securely.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • object to or restrict how we use it
  • ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation
  • withdraw consent where we rely on it

To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@fiftyminds.com. We’ll respond within one month.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this website, such as which pages are visited and how people find us. Google Analytics only sets cookies if you agree when you first visit. Google processes this information on our behalf, which may involve transfers outside the UK. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first at enquiries@fiftyminds.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
